Does meta tags optimization still matter for SEO?

Hey everyone! I’ve been wondering whether meta tags optimization still plays an important role in SEO, given the rise of newer ranking factors?

I think meta tags matter, just maybe not as much as they used to.

I don’t think it's entirely irrelevant. I’ve always found that a well optimized meta description helps with CTR. It just gives people a better idea of what to expect.

I’ve been wondering the same thing! They definitely help get more people to click on my links, and that can improve traffic over time.
